The Legacy Belt Story:

When I was 18 and leaving for school, I had a coming of age moment. I was still wearing boys clothing: a cloth belt. I purchased a pair of leather boots, and then put a childhood of working with my hands to the test. Tens of prototypes later, I arrived at "The Legacy Belt" (Pic. #2). Now a decade later, I am wearing the same belt that you see in the photos (Pic. #9), and have sold 1000s globally. My belt bears scars from a decade of use, from hiking trips and office parties, play fights with friends and a few not so playful moments with strangers. It is by every standard, a mans belt, and an item that will probably outlive you. I am proud to offer it to you, and any one else down the line who will receive it.

Considerations:

  • Note: The original belt shown in the photos above (Pic. #2, 9) features hand-dyed leather. When I was an aspiring leather smith a decade ago, I could not afford the tannery dyed "gold standard" leather I offer now, so I learned to dye it my self.
  • Medium Brown Vs. Tan: 
    • Medium Brown: Photo numbers 1, 5-8, 10. Tan: Photo numbers 3 & 4.
    • Please note that our Tan belts feature a "rough" edge treatment, while our Medium Brown features a burnished (smoother) edge. 
  • Configuration: Do note that our photos feature a variety of different hardware configurations. The same configurations may not be offered in our drop down menu (e.g. We now pair all Gunmetal, Silver, and Black buckles with copper rivets  (instead of the silver rivets shown in our photos currently)).
  • Material: Please bear in mind that leather is an organic material, and has spent the majority of its life prior to your ownership on a cow. Small blemishes and imperfections are part of the beauty, and inevitable.
  • Hardware: All of our brass hardware is solid brass (buckle and rivets). Our gunmetal/silver hardware is nickel plated brass, our black is PVD coated brass, and antique brass is distressed brass. All of these finishes are extremely durable, but over time you may experience some wear on the finish.
